Obama's Inaguration
I would like to see in Obama’s inauguration is promising more funding towards schools. I think education is the most important in the nation. It is the key to knowledge and power. If we cut down more funding towards schools, there is going to less students in college. There is already a cut in the California state universities and it is sad to here. The tuition is going to be more and it is going to be more competitive than it already is. Personally, I don’t know what the government is thinking cutting down money to schools. If anything , they should cut down on the military. The students are the future and if less students are going to college, than there is not going to have a stabilize nation. Who is going to be the next CEO’s and Doctors? Also, this will lower student’s confidence in applying to college. You will need to have a high GPA and SAT score to get accepted to a California State universities. Another thing that I would like Obama to promise is universal health care. I believe everybody should have health care because health is very important. This will also have more job opportunities in the health department.

Alexandaria House part two
The second time I went to Alexandaria House there was not enough students to tutor so I ended up playing with the student's children. I have experience in watching children because I use to work a preschool for two years so I didn't mind watching them. For children who live in transitional housing, they look at the positive things in life. They are so happy and content with their lives. This girl who is nine is very intelligent. She acting older and I am surprise when she said she was nine. The other two children who were brothers and they seem to like playing at the Alexandaria House because they enjoy playing outside with the equipment. There was no arguments with the children and they were very funny and nice. We played games with them and the time went by fast. I thought the time would go by slow since I was just going to watch the children for four hours. It was actually fun because not only we played game but we played soccer and I like to play soccer. I haven't played soccer in awhile so I was happy we got to play. I like contributing to Alexandaria House because everybody is very friendly. Eventhough they do not know me, they treat me very nice. I would like to back and help with the program they have there whether its daycare or the ESL program. They have different kinds of programs for women and children there. Last semester I got to help with daycare for the three to six years old and so I got to experience two programs there. I would say I like to do the daycare because I am more comfortable being around children since I have experience with children. I never really tutored anyone so I do not know what I am suppose to do. When I tutored Jenny I did not really know waht to do but she made it comfortable for me to help her. I would tutor again so I can gain more experience in tutoring.
Alexandaria House
The first time I went to Alexandria House, I was extremely excited. I enjoy helping others and it makes me feel happy that I made a difference. I got to tutor a girl name Jenny and she was really nice and funny. I helped her with papers that she had to fill out for Alexandria House. I as well helped her with practicing her grammar so she can improve her writing skills. She seemed like she knew what she was doing and she seems fluent in English. She did have some difficulties but they were minor. There was a question and I did not know the answer and I felt embarrassed. She was very nice so she made me feel comfortable tutoring her. When we watched the video, she knew all the answers that they asked. I like tutoring one to one instead of a group because I like to focus and give all my attention to one person. It was a good experience for me to do and I want to go back to tutor again at the ESL classes. I like to give out to the community and I have not helped the community for awhile so I am glad that I did service learning this semester. The ESL class does not have a lot of students that come in so it is hard for us to come tutor because there is not enough students to tutor for.The tutors end up watching the children and I do not mind playing with the children but I rather tutor the students. Hopefully there will be enough students for me to tutor for when I come back agian.

Pre-Writing for essay #3
What do you know about the spread of disease in the global community?
I believe that there are many diseases that can be prevent by doing simple things. Unfortunately people do not do simple things such as washing hands before eating and after going to the bathroom. Not only it will make you sick but you can get others sick because of not doing simple things to prevent serious illnesses. AIDS is a unfortunate disease that can be prevented by using condoms. Majority of the people who do not use condoms are the young crowd and they should already know that it is vital to use condoms. It makes me mad that people do know about HIV and AIDS and they still do not use condoms. I understand that they if they are with one person and only do intercourse with one person but major of the people who have HIV do not know it until the get tested. Sars disease is also unfortunate virus that stared in Asia and it is wide spread. People think it is just a flu because it has the symptoms of a flu but it is deadly. That is why people need to take flu's more cautiously because it might not just be a flu. It also important to take medical shots if you are going to travel to another country so you won't pick up an "alien" virus or disease. Your body is not use to another country's envioronment so you are more likely to get sick than the people who live in that country. Sadly, virus like menagintis and sars disease just has symtoms of a flu but it is deadly. That is why people need to go the doctors regulary even if you have to go to the clinic if you do not have health insurance. Blog 6 - How's yours semester going so far?
Mid semester has just past and I am trying to maintain a perfect studying schedule. My hardest task about this semester is the amount of studying I need to do. I cannot slack off in studying in my major classes, anatomy lecture and lab, or else I will not go into the nursing program. My main focus is going into the nursing program. If I stick to the same studying hours a week than I will pass my anatomy class with a good grade, therefore, I cannot procrastinate. I still need to work hard in my other classes because I cannot get below a B. The other classes I am worried about is religion and art. Religion, I currently have a C+ and I am not an artsy person so I am struggling through the art projects. I am still trying my hardest in the art projects because I want to get an A. I am only taking this class to get my AA or else I would not have taken this course. I am hopeful about Anatomy because my Lecture teacher says if I am doing the all the studying things I do such as read the book, outlines, and flashcards through out the semester than I will do fine but it is not easy to do for every chapter. It is hard but I just have to manage my time. Time management is helpful and it will help my do good in my classes. Hopefully, I will keep doing what I am doing and not slack off. I am trying my hardest and hopefully my hard work will pay off. Also, I try not to stress because that will not help me at all. I am a stressful person so I need to work on not stressing as much as I usually do. I am breaking out and always getting pimples and its to the point where I do not care because all I am focused on right now is getting into the nursing program.
Blog 5 - Alexandria House
I haven't been to the Alexandria House but I am excited to go. The reason why I signed up at the end of the semester, because there was not available spaces to go on Saturdays. The only days I can go to the Alexandria House on Saturdays so my only choice was to wait at the end of the semester. In class, the announcement was that not everybody who signed up to go to the Alexandria House last Saturday didn't go and I could have went if I knew there was space to go. I can't wait to teach the ESL class on Saturdays, because it will be my first time working with ESL students. It will also be interesting to see how well my teaching skills are. If there are adjustments to the semester schedule, I will move up my days to go on Saturdays instead of the end of the semester. I will work with Mary because I am carpooling with her in my car. It works out because not only she is in my class but she lives in the same dorm as me so it will be easier for us to meet up and I won't have to drop her off at another place. I also feel anxious, because it will be my first time going but I'm sure I will be comfortable after the first hour. I am glad that I am not going by myself or else I will feel more anxious and nervous. The staff will make the setting comfortable for me so I am not worried of not being a "bad" teacher. I can't wait to be a helpful hand at Alexandria House!

Human Rights: Trafficking of women and children and forced child labor
I am against all kinds of trafficking. It is the most common illegal slavery world-wide and it is considered to be similar as slavery. The reason being, the being who are being trafficked are held bondage and the businessperson takes one's identity away by taking their visas away from them. They get little or no pay without consent of that person. This as well is a morally wrong thing to do. A family member should not sell their children to pay off a debt or a bill. People should sell one's body because every ones' bodies are all valuable as a human and no one should degrade them. On a business person side, it is immoral of them to make a person to degrade one's body even if its a way of living. There are other careers in the world that they can do besides doing living in an illegal way. Being threatened to sell one's body is depressing. No human should treat another human like that and no human should go through that. Human trafficking is taking one's human rights away from them. If a person is not willing to do something and its forcing them upon to do something then it is invading their personal space. Everyone should respect one's personal space and not invade it. Here are the reasons why the business people should go to prison for the rest of their lives:
1. invading people's bodies and controlling them
2. selling one's body when it is not there's
3. taking away one's identity
4. illegal slavery ( banned in the constitution)

What do you think is happening with the stock market and the global economy? What is going to happen with the American election? Are either of these two current events connected? Predict the future: what is going to happen next?
The stock market is severely going down and this is not helping the economy. The stock market is not in a good place in this time period and it is affecting the people greatly in a negative way. Fears about the global economy slowing down is affecting the U.S economy by having people loose their jobs as well. This will result into majority of the people to spend less on things and that as well will affect real estate, car companies, and other similar companies. As you can see this all ties down into recession as a whole. The national debt affects everybody one way or another. Personally, I think the solution is to end the war because we cannot afford the war with the nation in debt. All these factors are causes from the war itself. Globally, it affects the other countries because we are borrowing a lot of money from other countries such as China. It would be better if we weren't dependent on other countries because we would not be in a national debt crisis. The American election plays a big part in the stock market and the global economy, because each candidate has a different solution on the national debt. McCain wants the war to continue and take the 700 billion bail out and stop giving money to organizations that he think are not important while Obama thinks that we can't afford the war and should pull the soldiers out and that will help solve the national debt. Pre-Writing for W.A #2
My pre-writing is about why globalization globalization threatens the cultural rights and identities of less-powerful countries.
Globalization harms cultural traditions in some countries. For instance, when I go on vacation I expect to eat their country's food and not Americanized food. When people were telling me that they went to China and was excited to eat real Chinese food,but all they saw were fast food places such as McDonalds. People, such as myself, would like to experience their countries' culture background. The faster growing countries such as America and some parts of Europe globalize around the world making some Countries loose their identities. This hurts countries' economy as well. The less-powerful countries, mainly third-world countries, struggle with businesses and when globalization comes to their country it puts a negative affect on them. This will lead to more poverty and making the middle-class have an impact on the scale resulting to just have the higher and lower class. Globalization can have a positive effect and as well as a negative effect but personally it is not worth taking the risk for the people who do get a good thing out of it. Helping a bussiness globalize will leave a group of people with economical problems. The American media exposes their entertainment to countries such as Europe leaving culture industries out of business. Not only the business will fall but the culture will be lost as well. Globalization destroys certain cultures leaving them with American imperialism. For instance, the Canal Cafe in China is a historical place but the umbrellas in the cafe has an advertisement for the Budweiser. This destorys the historical feeling in the cafe. Historical places should be left alone so people can remember their culture. Globalization wont allow the future generations to know their heritage and have a feel for it.
